Original stone built semi-detached crofter's cottages in a quiet secluded situation by the river Ewe, with spacious private grounds for you to relax and enjoy the uninterrupted views of the mountains and Loch Maree. The village of Poolewe is set amongst some of the most magnificent scenery in Britain. There are three hotels where meals are available, local shops and Post Office (with public phone), heated swimming pool and, not to forget, the famous Inverewe Tropical Gardens with self-service restaurant. Poolewe is a good base to get around by car, from the Bein Eighe Nature Reserve to the old fishing village of Ullapool, or by foot with many good walks and climbs. Several sandy beaches, fishing, golf, putting and boat trips are all close by.

Entrance porch with seating. Hallway with stair leading to two bedrooms, one with double bed, one with two single beds (this stair is very steep, therefore the elderly or infirm may not find it suitable). Ground floor has living room with eating area and kitchen galley along one wall, pantry and bathroom with shower.
The properties are comfortably furnished to suit all seasons. TV is not provided as the location does not allow satisfactory reception. An aerial has been put in place, so if you wish to bring a portable, you will get a varied reception. Blankets, duvets and pillows are provided; linen is not, unless by prior arrangement which is also necessary for pets when booking. Hot water, heating and cooking is by electric and all electricity is provided via a 50p-meter. Ample car parking is available. You are one mile from the local shop. As the shop is closed on Sundays, you should take provisions with you. The shop telephone number is 781240 if you need to order provisions in advance. Public transport (Wester Bus and Post Bus) passes ¼ mile from the cottages.
Lettings are from Saturday to Saturday and you are requested to vacate the house by 9:30am and arrival time is from 3:30pm to 10pm. If later than 10pm, please telephone or state when booking. If you wish to arrive before 3:30pm, please state and every endeavour will be made to accommodate you.
