What to see
When going to Skye, the small ferry from Glenelg to
Kylerhea is a must. The very scenic route
from Shiel Bridge on the A87 and, on Skye,
between Kylerhea and the A850 gives ample
opportunity for splendid views. If there is a
long queue waiting for the ferry (this is often
the case between 10am and 4pm in the summer),
consider making a detour to see the Glenelg
Brochs which are only 5 minutes away by car. You
might even continue to Arnisdale on Loch Hourn. Warning! The roads to Glenelg and Kylerhea are not suited for large Camping-cars! |
